DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). In a small bowl, mix together the butter and garlic. Spread garlic butter on both halves of bread, and sprinkle liberally with Parmesan cheese. Place in preheated oven until cheese is golden brown. Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly.
On the bottom half of the bread, place a layer of lettuce. Alternating between meat and cheese, arrange layers of ham, turkey, salami, mozzarella, Swiss cheese and provolone. Add a layer of tomatoes, onion, black olives, mushrooms, green peppers and anything else you like. Place the remaining half of bread on top.
Place the sandwich on a cutting board, and slice into individual servings.

Made today for our superbowl lunch and my husband and his brother ate the whole platter! Used pre-made garlic bread and topped with barbeque sauce, sauteed onions & green peppers. Through back under the broiler with pepper jack cheese on top before serving. Excellent fat laden recipe for the boys!

This monster ruled the table at our Memorial Day Picnic. The guys loved it and said I was to never buy pre-made subs again. I use extra-long cocktail toothpicks to keep this all together to make it easier to everyone to eat. Otherwise, I didn't change a thing.

Wow...what a sandwich. I almost tore my lips trying to fit this thing in my mouth. I used salami, chicken, smoked turkey and provolone and used a yellow bell pepper rather than a green. I also added some sun-dried tomatoes and just about doubled the butter mixture so I could be generous with it. I broiled the bread until lightly browned, added the toppings and wrapped the whole thing up in foil and popped it in the oven for a few minutes. You could be very creative with this. Thanks for sharing Bradley.
