Located on the central coast of California, the city of San Luis Obispo is able to boast of perfect weather with daily averages ranging from 65 to 85 degrees year-round. Having weather as perfect as that, the many local growers are able to bring an abundance of fruits and vegetables to the weekly farmers market, where the locals pack the streets to enjoy the street music, eat the variety of foods for sale, and buy the fresh accompaniment to their favorite dish. Only a few miles from San Luis Obispo, thousands of acres of strawberries grow the size of your fist. The local strawberry growers have perfected the hybrid strawberries to grow year-round in the perfect central coast weather. The strawberry festival in the nearby city Arroyo Grande is the largest Strawberry Festival in the state of California.
