About me:
Within the last year or so I have lost 60 pounds and am now a slim girl! Hurrah! However, I am having problems coming up with creative healthy foods that I can make on my own- and living off of Lean Cuisines is getting old!

Healing Cabbage Soup

Reviewed on Aug. 18, 2008 by chibi chef
I was skeptical at first that so few ingredients could make a good soup. I was pleasantly surprised how good this is. I used red cabbage to get more nutritional bang and added red kidney beans for protein. The red cabbage turned the soup a pretty burgundy!

Hearty Turkey Stew with Vegetables

Reviewed on Aug. 18, 2008 by chibi chef
I liked this, but hubby wasn't too much of a fan. I used leftover turkey breast from the rosemary turkey recipe from this site. Instead of chicken broth, I made turkey broth from the carcass, peppercorn, carrots, celery, fresh thyme, and fresh rosemary.

Rosemary Roasted Turkey

Reviewed on Aug. 18, 2008 by chibi chef
I used just a turkey breast because it's just me and hubby. I brined it overnight. The breast was the most juicy and flavorful I've ever had. Good-bye to dry, tasteless turkey breast!
