About me:
I have been married for 18 years and have 2 teenage children. We are all big sports fans. Football is our favorite sport. Our favorite team is the Chicago Bears. We try to eat supper as a family ever evening if possible. We love being with our friends and families. I like to cook recipes without a lot of fancy ingredients. My husband is also a great cook. I am a little shy about trying recipes with ingredients I have not heard of. Our family is very active so I like to look for recipes that can go into a slow cooker or have few ingredients and low prep time.

Jamie's Cranberry Spinach Salad

Reviewed on Jul. 15, 2008 by taertman2516
Wow. I was totally skeptical--how does a salad get all those great reviews? All I have to say is don't knock it till you try it. Why in the world is this so FANTASTIC? I don't know--but it is. (I used 1/2 Splenda instead of all that sugar and no-trans-fat margarine, but the rest is exactly the same.)

Mexican Bean Salad

Reviewed on Jul. 9, 2008 by taertman2516
Fantastic! My only substitution was using 1 tablespoon of Splenda instead of 2 tablespoons of sugar. So, so good. Even my fiance, who does not like beans, ate almost more than me! A great way to eat fiber and have a meatless dish that is so, so filling. I bought chicken, but I didn't even make it--I just ate the salad.

Chinese Cabbage Salad I

I didn't really like it. I only used 1 tablespoon of sugar, but I still thought it too sweet. Thanks anyway!
