Annie's Turkey Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2008
This is so good. I used left over turkey, miracle whip, dijon mustard and dill pickles. I toasted a roll under the broiler with real parmesan cheese, pulled out of the oven, loaded up with the salad then added cayenne pepper on top. Yummo!

Lavender Tea Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2008
This is fantastic, very different but so good. I only had dried lavender on hand, so I used 1 tablespoon rather than 3, and it turned out great.

Baked Beef Stew

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2008
My mother used to make this stew which she called "French Beef Stew". I lost her recipe and then found this one, which is her exact recipe. I just made it for 50 people for a church dinner and got nothing but rave reviews. I had several people comment that it was the best beef stew they've ever eaten.

Honey Bun Cake I

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2008
First time making this and took to Thanksgiving gathering. It was a HUGE HIT! As others suggested, I used cinnabon frosting & baked in bundt pan. The aroma is incredible as it bakes. Make it & have a cup of coffee ready when it comes out of the oven. Thank you!

Marie's Easy Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2008
This was okay - I wasn't super impressed (not much different than other pot roasts.) May make again - but it's definitely not my new go to pot roast recipe

Basic Pasta

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2008
It was my first time and it was fun to make but pretty tricky for a first timer. If I make it again i will roll it a lot thinner than i think i'll need. Also - I tried to cut ravioli and cut the pieces too small and they didn't stick together very well. I think I would try to get a gadget that would help with that. Pretty tasty though!!

Hot Artichoke and Spinach Dip II

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2008
Awesome!!! Better than your fave restaurant can make it! This was a huge hit at Thanksgiving. There was none left and everyone wanted the recipe. I am making it again tonight. Just plain awesome. The only thing I had to do different was omit the Romano cheese because I never have that around. I just added more parmesan and then I added monterey jack on top of the dip instead of mozzerella cheese. OUT OF THIS WORLD GOOD.

Best Ever Pie Crust

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2008
Very easy to work with. For Thanksgiving I compared this recipe, Basic Flaky Pie Crust from this site and Better Homes and Garden's basic crust. They were all easy to work with but the Basic Flaky Pie crust had a better flavor. I refrigerated the materials previously, added in water 1 T. at a time and froze it for a couple days before using. It froze very nicely and was very easy to roll out and use.

Basic Flaky Pie Crust

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2008
PERFECT pie crust! Over thanksgiving I made a strawberry rhubarb pie with this, 2 pumpkin pies with the Best Ever Pie Crust from this site and the Pecan V with the Better Homes and Gardens pie crust. All were easy to work with but this one had such delicious FLAVOR!! Make sure to add in water 1 T. at a time - i didn't use all the water it suggested. This will be my go to pie crust from now on!
