About me: I am always trying to make recipes with missing ingredients (I don't have that, I'm allergic to that, my husband hates this, I have to make it faster...) So everything I make is …

About me: I'm a birthday person. I love to celebrate people's birthdays and for me it is tradition to make a cake when it's someone's birthday at work. Funny thing...I don't like cake.

Daddy's Fried Corn and Onions

Reviewed on Sep. 3, 2008 by Duckball
I loved this! I used around 1½ cups frozen corn (not thawed), around 1 TBS bacon grease, ½ a small onion, salt and pepper, and I added 2 medium-diced medium-sized potatoes (parboiled for around 7 minutes before adding). I fried the onion up in the grease until it started to brown, then added the potatoes for a couple minutes, then added the corn last. My daughter and I scarfed it, my husband ate it with minimal complaints (he has issues with corn, though). He said he'd eat it again, so it's a success! Thanks for sharing, Momof2Boys!

Joy's Prizewinning Trifle

Reviewed on Sep. 2, 2008 by natisha1974
This was absolutely delicious!!! I switched it up a bit. I omitted the pineapple completely and used fresh strawberries, raspberries and bananas in the centre layers. Made it for a family and friends dinner and it was a HUGE hit! thank you very much for sharing.. will definitely be making this again!

Mom's Ginger Snaps

Reviewed on Aug. 31, 2008 by Sharyl R.
Every one loved these!!! They were a bit spicy, but not over spicy - I added some nutmeg as well and that added a nice bite to it. They were soft in the middle which was perfect - great as a dunker in spicy Chai tea!!!
